Ardeer dominated the game en route to a 4-2 victory over Darvel today at Ardeer Stadium. Scott Reid scored a marvellous hat-trick within the first 25 minutes of the game as the team raced into a 3-0 lead. Darvel got one back only a couple of minuted later, but Ardeer continued to be the better team.

In the second half, substitute Dougie Ellis hit the post and Gary Thomson hit the bar. Ardeer then put the result beyond doubt in the 85th minute when Darren Quinn finished off a great counter attack. Darvel got a consolation in the last minute.

Overall, a fine result, and the best performance by an Ardeer team for a very long time.
