Ardeer Thistle 3 Stivenstoune CK 6
Ardeer looked quite lively in the first half, but faded badly after half time with the away team coming out of the game with a deserved win.
The home side got off to the worst possible start when a Stivenstoune striker was put through in space in the centre of the park and impressively lobbed the ball high over Joe Murphy in the Ardeer goal. After conceding with two minutes played, it only took Ardeer another two minutes to equalise. Lee Munro was one-on-one with the away goalkeeper and sent his shot past him low and into the goal off the post. On the 17th minute Kenny Hogg made it 2-1 to Ardeer with a half volley that the away keeper got a hand to but he couldnt prevent from reaching the net. Both sides had chances to score again but it remained 2-1 at half time.
Unfortunately for Ardeer, the away side dominated much of the second half scoring five goals in the process to take a 6-2 lead. Kenny Hogg got his second of the match from the penalty spot in the 89th minute but it was only a consolation for Ardeer who will hope for a better result againt Johnstone Burgh on Saturday. |
